There are places still available on the British Dyslexia Association’s courses in dyslexia aimed at teachers – called ‘Practical solutions for teachers’. These are ½ day courses running from 2pm-5pm.
Supporting dyslexia is a real growth within education. A recent Teacher union survey suggested that less than 10% of their members felt confident teaching a dyslexic pupil.
The government has recently pledged significant investment over the next few years. Teachers skilled and trained in dealing with dyslexia will be in high demand by schools.
Attending one of these courses will help you strengthen your all round portfolio of skills and knowledge. It could also be your first step towards developing a specialism in SEN/dyslexia.
The next course is on 25 February in Cambridge. Places are now available at ½ price - £33!!! Furthermore, we will refund you this £33 should you then work for headline teachers afterwards. In other words you could get to go on the course FREE of charge!!!
